From herbs and supplements…

I’ve always had an interest in herbs and how they might be used to overcome illness and lead to better health. In 1997, I started working in the dietary supplement industry. I formulated over 70 products over the next two decades, many still sold in thousands of stores across the United States. In 2021, I became a contributor to The Herbarium at The Herbal Academy. In 2022, I became an Associate Member of the American Herbalist Guild.

…to the textbook…

For me, herbalism is not just something I’ve studied and trained for. My adult life has shaped by chronic health issues. I saw at least a dozen doctors, only to hear that my labs looked great. I know what it’s like to deal with the fatigue, uncertainty, and frustration of chronic illness. Unlike most with chronic fatigue issues, I was able to find an underlying cause through my own persistence and research. It was confirmed by my internist when I (finally!) got a positive lab result.

That ultimately led to several years of study of using herbs for stealth infections that emerging research is associating with chronic conditions that present with fatigue, brain fog, pain, exercise intolerance and more. Having personally experienced much of what many of my clients are struggling with gives me unique insights when making recommendations and subsequent modifications.
